Disclosure Rewards - £100 per submission

With this scheme we are hoping this small incentive will be sufficient to tease out from our colleagues those "what if" thoughts that have been playing on your minds. Your ideas should be coherent and reasonably well thought out but we are not expecting any significant detail concerning how an idea might be funded, developed, or brought to market. We just want to hear the bare bones of your idea and a rough explanation as to:
  • What existing problems it attempts to solve.
  • How your technology / solution is different to what you understand currently exists.
  • Wherein lies the benefits of your technology / solution, over and above its competition.
There will be an informal judging panel made up from Warwick Ventures staff and Prof. Mark E. Smith, (Pro Vice Chancellor of Research). It is worth stressing that our mindset is one that is positive and encouraging and we will only not award monies to the most obviously incomplete or inappropriate disclosures. Please note that our budget is limited to only 50 rewards at this time so to be (almost) sure of a winning entry, we recommend that you get your idea in early. Initially we are looking to make one award per person.
